The Bachelor of Science (BSc) Chemistry course emphasizes the theory and practical aspects of the fundamentals of Chemistry and includes theories and concepts of atomic structure, chemical bonding, thermodynamics, coordination chemistry, quantum mechanics, spectroscopy, and chemical analysis. It includes topics including properties and composition of matter and their interactions. Application-based topics related to general and physical chemistry, inorganic and organic chemistry, biochemistry, electrochemistry, structure, and function of polymers and chemistry of synthetic drugs are included in the course.
Candidates will have diverse knowledge about the multiple branches of Chemistry including physical, inorganic, organic, and analytical chemistry through audio-visuals, seminars, guest lectures, workshops, competitions, presentations, internships, and field visits included in the course. The BSc Chemistry course is usually offered as a triple combination degree with other relevant subjects in the Science discipline.
