The Master of Physiotherapy (MPT) is a paramedical postgraduate course that includes theoretical and practical concepts involved in the application of physical activities and movement to prevent disability and various diseases related to the skeletal system and movement using both natural methods and modern technology. It is an interdisciplinary subject involving biology, medicine, health, psychology, and reflexology. Topics included in the course are physiotherapy practice, biomechanics and kinesiology, exercise physiology, electrotherapy, electrodiagnosis, and manual therapy; with electives including rehabilitation, health promotion, and fitness, occupational health, and ergonomics, neurology, manual therapy, women's health. Candidates are provided theoretical and practical exposure to various methods and techniques to improve mobility and prevent disability.
Skills like analytical-thinking, strategy, patience and understanding, research, and critical-thinking are enhanced through clinical training, laboratory work, projects, seminars, and presentations are enhanced through this course.
