The Genetics curriculum focuses on the application of Biotechnology and Microbiology in the functioning of genes, expression of genes, genetic variation, gene pool, structure and function of genes, and heredity of animals, plants, and human beings. It includes the theories and concepts related to gene behavior, function, traits, location, variety, mutation, and applications in research. The Biochemistry curriculum emphasizes the study of chemical processes at the molecular level that occurs within living systems. It explains simple life processes based on cellular components like proteins, lipids, carbohydrates, chromosomes, and organelles. The Microbiology curriculum emphasizes the study of the living system and its relationship with the outside environment. It covers subjects related to bacteriology, mycology, virology, general microbiology, biochemistry, genetics, medical, agricultural, industrial, food, dairy microbiology; immunology, molecular biology, genetic engineering, bioinformatics, biophysics, and space microbiology.
Skills like analytical reasoning, critical thinking, diagrammatic representation, presentation, logical skills, and entrepreneurship are enhanced through seminars, guest lectures, workshops, projects, internships and dissertations included in the course curriculum.
