The Bachelor of Vocation (BVoc) in Medical Lab Technology course is an undergraduate-level Allied Health Science training-based course that emphasizes the skills and techniques required to carry out the early detection, identification, diagnosis, treatment, management, and prevention of diseases through the use of clinical laboratory tests. It is a very important and essential component of the medical profession and involves sample collection, sampling, analysis, reporting, microbial screening, chemical analyses, testing, and documentation of patient body fluids, tissue, and blood. Laboratory Technologists are dedicated to a patient's health and wellbeing.
Skills like academic and technical skills, discipline, attention to detail, communication, analytical thinking, and research are enhanced through seminars, guest lectures, workshops, projects, internships, and dissertations included in the course curriculum.
