The Master of Science (MSc) in Echocardiography is a postgraduate course that focuses on the modern diagnosis of heart defects and problems. The course imparts in-depth knowledge of both theoretical and practical skills of heart diagnosis. The program empowers the students to perform the diagnosis of heart diseases by analyzing data of an echocardiograph using an instrument called an Echocardiogram. The instrument helps to determine the size of the heart, the thickness of the ventricles, damage from a heart attack, heart valve problems, heart structure, congenital heart defects (holes in the heart, blood clots, or tumors).
Skills like responsibility, accuracy, decision-making, and teamwork are enhanced through the course.
The students are given a detailed understanding of the ECG equipment that is used to monitor the heart rates of patients.
