The Bachelor of Arts (BA) is an undergraduate course that provides a unique blend of subjects that help to enhance and develop a candidate’s communication, research, presentation, and analysis skills. The BA Journalism course provides a unique blend of subjects that help to enhance and develop a candidate’s communication, engagement, and research skills. The curriculum emphasizes the concepts and skills that enrich the candidate’s knowledge, creates a highly adaptive environment, and provides opportunities to grow successfully in print media like newspapers, journals, magazines, digests, and news agencies; and electronic media like television, radio, and internet. Methods and techniques of reporting, writing, editing, news presentation, and news compilation are also emphasized. Topics included in the curriculum are the history of media, law, and ethics, web design, photojournalism, reporting, and feature writing and editing with the objective to create awareness about social causes and issues.
Skills like analytical reasoning, research, decision-making, teamwork, and logical thinking help candidates to grow into conscious and socially-aware global citizens.
