The Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) is an undergraduate course that provides academic knowledge and skill-based education required to prepare students for a professional career as a Social Worker in the society, community, and country. The course provides a broad and comprehensive foundation for the general community and social work practice. The students develop humanitarian skills and help the large category of needy society. Topics include Analysis of Indian Society, Social Case Work, Dynamics of Human Behavior, Women & Child Development, Disaster Management, Gender Studies, Rural, and Urban Studies, Communication, Child and Youth Studies, Social Entrepreneurship, Basic Counselling, and Human Rights.
Skills like empathy, patience, listening, communication, emotional intelligence, teamwork, self-awareness, persuasion, discipline, hard work, creativity, and interaction are enhanced during this course.
