Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Optometry is a Graduate course that involves the study of the concepts and theories involved in determining and measuring eyesight, prescribing corrective optical instruments and lens, and identifying and treating eye-related diseases directed by healthcare physicians. Special training in examining, identifying, diagnosing, treating, and managing eye diseases and disorders is provided to ensure that candidates demonstrate accuracy, precision, and attention to detail. Counseling and recommendations are also provided to patients with visual defects like partial vision, color blindness, and hereditary vision defects. Skills like responsibility, accuracy, decision-making, and teamwork are enhanced through the course.
Through Lateral Entry, candidates can join the program in the 2nd year of BSc in Perfusion Technology and proceed to complete 3rd year.
