Vokkaligara Sangha Dental College and Hospital is a private medical college. It is also known as V S Dental College & Hospital (VSDC&H) and was established in the year 1986. The college was established by Rajya Vokkaligara Sangha and it is been regarded as one of the best institutes to pursue medical education. The Institution started with only 52 BDS students. PG Diploma courses and certificate courses began in the year 2009-10 and MDS courses since the year 2001-02.
The motto of Vokkaligara Sangha Dental College and Hospital is ‘Knowledge and Development’ in the subject of Dentistry. The college aims to be among the country’s top medical institutions through excellence in oral health academics, education, research, and the latest health care practices. To develop excellent dental professionals through quality dental education. The college aims to promote advanced dental education and oral health and scientific research through innovative teaching practices.
The college has its own teaching Hospital with state-of-the-art and well-equipped clinics and laboratories. There is a very good inflow of patients which is 300 to 500 patients. The Hospital conducts regular oral health outreach programs for the benefit of underserved rural and urban populations of the society.
