Now it has progressed to a full-fledged Postgraduate Dental Institution with 100 BDS admissions and MDS courses in all specialties of Dental Surgery. The Chairman is Sri A.C. Shanmugam who established Moogambigai Charitable and Educational Trust (Regd.) in the year 1992. The college is regarded as one of the top dental colleges in India.
