What is NATA-2020 Exam

The National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA), is conducted by National Institute of Advanced Studies in Architecture (NIASA) which is a body of Council of ArchitectureNew Delhi in India. The National Aptitude Test in Architecture [1] is a national level examination for admission to undergraduate courses in Architecture. The test measures the aptitude of applicants for a specific field of study, i.e. Architecture, in areas like drawing and observation skills, sense of proportion, aesthetic sensitivity and critical thinking, qualities that have been acquired over a long period of time and that are related to Architecture. NATA or the AIEEE B.Arch exam are prescribed by the Council of Architecture as a compulsory criterion for taking admission to any Architectural College or course in India.

Fee

Candidates have to pay the requisite fee given below to apply for the NATA 2020.

      If candidates are applying for either first or second test :

  • For General / OBC – Rs. 1800
  • For SC / ST – Rs. 1500

     If candidates are applying for both the first and second tests then they are required to pay the following given amount: 

  •  For General – Rs. 3500
  •  For SC / ST – Rs. 2800

Eligibility

Before applying for the examination, there are certain parameters that a candidate must fulfill. They are as follows:

  • 10+2 graduates or appearing with Mathematics as a mandatory subject.
  • 10+3 Diploma holders (any stream)/ appearing recognised by Central/ State Government with Mathematics as one of the subjects. 
  • International Baccalaureate Diploma passed/appearing, after 10 years of schooling with Mathematics as a compulsory subject of examination.
  • There is no age criterion for appearing in NATA 2020
  • There are not any lateral admission criteria for admission in any stage/year of B.Arch course.
  • There is no relaxation for special category students (SC/ST/OBC)
